Excellent Stay with Great Staff

fantastic locationsupportive mattressfriendly staff
The location is fantastic. I enjoyed drinks on the south-facing terrace in the afternoon sunshine. The staff were friendly and helpful I found the room comfortable with a supportive mattress.
The drinks were hard to get hold of and very expensive.

Acceptable stay, but some issues encountered

excellent locationstrong old smell
The location was excellent. It made getting around very easy.
The room smelled strongly of something old. Staff offered a fan and air freshener, but that did nothing to mask the smell.

Wonderful library celebration

beautiful roomhelpful teamlittle furniture
We held a family celebration in the library room. The room and the buffet afternoon tea were beautiful. I appreciated that Hannah Burton from the events team organised everything, being helpful (i cannot thank her enough!).
The room did not quite match the hotel's interior. It was large, but had very little furniture that did not fit the space. I found it bland and not as warm as the common areas.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast was lovely with menu options available and a buffet. There were poached eggs on toast (a great choice!) and plenty of options to choose from. The restaurant thoughtfully placed tables.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel provides parking on the premises. This is very welcome and only a short distance from the beach and long promenade. Public areas were relaxing with a terrace and garden, carefully maintained.
Rooms
9/10
The room was quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable enough to ensure a good night's sleep. Rooms have everything needed and are spotlessly clean, very well kept.

Really good Seaside Stay

comfortable armchairsquality toiletrieslow pressure
The room was spacious and had comfortable armchairs by the window. I especially enjoyed the modern bathroom that offered plenty of hot water and high-quality toiletries.
The shower pressure was very low unless it was set to the coldest setting. Also I did not realize that breakfast was not included in my room rate which was disappointing.
Location
9/10
The hotel offers sea views and is very central. It is easy to reach the old town on foot. The proximity to local attractions made exploring convenient.
Service
10/10
Checking in was easy. I received a warm welcome. All staff members were polite. They were cute throughout my stay. Their attentiveness enhanced my visit.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel provides parking . There is a lift and freshly carpeted stairs leading to the bedrooms. A garden view was available from the breakfast window. These facilities contributed positively to my stay.
Dining

Breakfast was really nice. I especially liked the window seat overlooking the garden. The dining experience added to the overall enjoyment of my time at the hotel.

The premises seemed well kept, a definite plus.
I found the service during breakfast unacceptable. I waited over an hour for my order, then I ultimately cancelled it. The staff seemed clueless. When I requested better service, they were rude.. I received spoiled mugs for coffee, and the waitress showed no apology at all.

The location was great. The hotel staff were REALLY excellent.
I encountered an issue with the air conditioning in my room. It was broken. The room became uncomfortably hot, especially at night. A provided fan barely helped, and I didn't sleep well at all.
